Quân đội Israel cho biết vừa phá hủy thêm một đường hầm của Hezbollah

Trong tháng này, Israel đã thông báo phát hiện ra hàng loạt đường hầm và cho rằng các đường hầm này nằm trong kế hoạch của Hezbollah với mục đích vượt biên giới và tránh các cuộc tấn công của Israel.

Đã có 5 đường hầm như vậy được phát hiện trong một chiến dịch mà mục tiêu là phá hủy toàn bộ các hệ thống hầm của phiến quân Hezbollah xây dựng tại khu vực biên giới với Lebanon và phía Israel đã phá hủy ít nhất 2 đường hầm.

Quân đội Israel cũng tiết lộ một đoạn phim trong đó một binh lính đã chạy qua biên giới và cảnh báo người dân tại một ngôi làng ở Lebanon rằng họ đang gặp nguy hiểm và cần phải tránh xa, tiếp đó đoạn phim chiếu cảnh một người lính ấn nút và sau đó một vụ nổ lớn xảy ra.

Quân đội chưa tiết lộ có tổng cộng bao nhiêu đường hầm đã bị phá hủy nhưng hiện chiến dịch vẫn đang tiếp diễn đồng loạt tại các địa điểm khác trên lãnh thổ Israel.

Phía Israel và Liên Hợp Quốc cho rằng các đường hầm này vi phạm lệnh ngừng bắn ký kết để chấm dứt xung đột giữa Israel và Hezbollah từ năm 2006.

Israeli army says it destroys another Hezbollah tunnel

(AP) — The Israeli military on Wednesday destroyed another cross-border tunnel it says was built by Lebanon's Hezbollah militant group, sending a loud explosion throughout the volatile area.

Israel this month announced the discovery of the tunnels, which it says were part of a Hezbollah plot to sneak across the border and carry out attacks in Israel.

Israel has so far uncovered five tunnels in an open-ended operation to destroy the entire network. At least two tunnels have been destroyed.

The army released a video of Wednesday's activity. It shows an officer shouting across the border and warning residents of the Lebanese village of Ayta ash Shab that they are in danger and to stand far away. The video then shows a countdown before a soldier pushes a button, and aerial footage of a powerful explosion.

The army has not said how many tunnels have been destroyed so far. But it says its forces can work at more than one location simultaneously and that all activity is taking place in Israeli territory.

Israel and the U.N. say the tunnels violate a cease-fire resolution that ended a devastating war between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006.

The Iranian-backed Hezbollah has not commented on the discovery.
